Art Creations Friday: "Land of the Free"

Although this is semi-late for the Art Creations Friday posting, I thought I'd give this one a whirl. I liked the photo that was given to work with.

After pulling it apart from the background, I thought a boat would be nice with it. Googled images and found this boat from this flickr site;

Also found a great photographer in Cape Cod. Check it out at: http://www.capecodphotographyart.com/ Really beautiful photos. Loved many of them. But the boat one that I liked the most wouldn't have the sardine capacity that I was looking for.

I began by standing the boy next to the boat which by the way is actually on land. Then began placing him in the boat. Copied him multiple times and worked his body into a sitting position, not that you can see that in the finished piece! Anyhow, hope you enjoy my sardine art. It's PACKED with the love of art.
