Yesterday my mom and I took Katie and her friend to the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena. Katie's teacher suggests museums for the kids to go to in order for them to "pass" on a test. He calls it a detour. I call it a by pass. (Makes Kate crazy when I miss quote him) After we had done our "work", we went out to the garden. There is where I took these photos.
This is how Katie looked while I was "taking too long" in the garden.
And last, one of my favorites. These were everywhere on trees. Amazing.

The first two photos remind me of something I would see here in Arizona (and I know we do share many of the same plants). The last one is a knockout! That must be one beautiful tree. Would love to know what it's called.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog.
Happy Easter
Great photos!
ReplyDeleteI have seen that expression and glassy eyes on my hubby when I get engrossed in taking photos. It made me chuckle!!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous shots! Thanks for sharing and have a great week.
ReplyDeleteNice captures.... I also could spend hours & hours in a garden...
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of plants that I can only see when I visit AZ during our long cold winter!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of my days in the desert sun!
Thanks for stopping by, Patti.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and your gorgeous shotd.
Have a nice week.
Those are beautiful and interesting blooms and I had to laugh about the painting that was what Katie looked like when you talked to long.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great place inside and outside. To this day I still think of those Candice Bergen Norton Simon tv commercials from the 1970's.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful garden, no wonder taking you a long time in there for photographing. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLove the flowers, especially that second one, beautiful photos!
