This big bird was so sad. He was so UN-"well groomed."
He hung his head in shame.

Champ

Abbey's sister, "Champ" - enjoying the sun.
She had just had her teeth brushed.
Say "ahhh"!
I have a photo site specifically for those at HBHS Field Hockey and HBHS Water Polo. If you would like to view those photos, please contact me @ EdScissor1@yahoo.com for information on obtaining site details. Thank you

A Rainy-Sunny Day

I posted this on my blog before I even knew that there were fun memes to plug into so I thought I'd add it to this weeks "Straight out of the Camera-Sunday", January 16, '10. This was quite an amazement to the locals. As soon as I saw what was happening, I drove home to grab my camera. (Why I don't carry one on me at all times, I don't know.) Anyhow, it took them a long time to get this under control. Cross Streets: Garfield & Gothard, HB, CA.
A beautiful day for rain.

A Rose is never just a Rose

Remember in the 70's when "Roses" perfume was popular? Everytime I smell a fragrant rose, it takes me back.

Sam double exposed into the surf

Since I don't have photoshop...yet... I used the lame program that I do have. I took Sam playing water polo and set him into the surf. Overlaid him onto a surfer. Had to add water on part of the surfer and fudge it a bit. Not great, but Sam liked it.
HBHS Varsity Field Hockey vs Westminster. HB wins again! Go Beach!
This was my pic of the day. Love #27's eyes...

HBHS Water Polo

Today's frosh/soph game: Huntington High vs Ayala, final score 8-2!

View Finder

This is from our hotel up in the rain forest, looking down towards the coast of Costa Rica. The use of rocks and framing made it spectacular.

Jaco, Costa Rica

The surf was huge this day. These two surfers were celebrating their buddy's great ride. He survived.
HBHS Water Polo

Amazing how these kids can rise above the water. There is no cheating in water polo. The pools are at least seven feet deep, usually much deeper. This is the photo that I used to play around with by cutting Sam out and placing him in the ocean.

Squawk and Awe

These birds were very content to sit for the camera.
Taken on the way down to Jaco, Costa Rica.

Tamarindo Beach

Tamarindo Beach, Costa Rica has amazing surf and the clouds were spectacular. Here you can almost see Maggie and Katie walking towards the waves. I love how the camera makes it seem as if they are distant with no one else around.
